From its inception in 1968 SG Plastic has specialized in the design and fabrication of standardized and customized equipment made from thermoplastic materials.
Materials of construction are typically Polypropylene, HDPE, PVDF and PVC. These materials are used for their corrosion resistance properties. Equipment is fabricated for the South African and international markets.
SG Plastic’s equipment and Turnkey Installations are prominent in the petro-chemical, precious metals refining, metal finishing, diamond grading, water purification, laboratory and chemical manufacturing industries.
SG Plastic’s highly trained personnel are proficient in the design and fabrication of thermoplastic products. All fabrication personnel are efficient in the welding of plastics according to SABS and DVS (German) specifications. The welding of sheeting and piping includes plastic welding, extrusion welding, butt welding, electro-fusion welding, socket fusion welding and solvent welding. SG Plastic’s manufacturing facility is equipped with state of the art CNC and manually operated plastic welding machinery which ensures our customers the highest quality product.
Design of turnkey plants and stand-alone equipment is done in house by our highly trained design personnel. SG Plastic enjoys relationships with local and international design partners from Germany, Austria, Italy and the USA.
